Conoco Philips Replace Entire Processing Plant Antenna Infrastructure System

Conoco Philips of Immingham has chosen Skymasts Antennas as its preferred supplier for a complete antenna refurbishment programme.

The programme, consisting of the replacement of all Conoco Phillips existing on-site base station antenna systems together with upgrade and maintenance of two 40m self-supporting hub sites, was required on the basis that the existing antenna systems had come to the end of their operational life and many of the existing antennas were under-performing or faulty.

The new systems will also enable specific coverage planning and lower noise levels with the utilisation of specific low IMP antenna products for multiple radio channels. Two 40m heavy duty self-supporting masts are also to be completely refurbished, including new antennas, feeder cables, mounting hardware, health & safety devices and lightning protection systems.

The first phase has already been successfully completed with the second phase commencing early 2010.
