EMERGENCY SERVICES
Radio communications for the Emergency Services have long been a mainstay in the industry and with the transfer to new digital (TETRA) networks continues to be so.
Coordinated systems between the various parts of the services, Police /Fire/Ambulance, are now universal and the antenna requirements are becoming clearer.
The change to TETRA has necessitated an upgrade in antenna performance, particularly in reducing Intermodulation products. This leads to design modifications and a more stringent testing regime.
Skymasts have invested in a new anechoic chamber with ‘state of the art’ Intermodulation test equipment to fully embrace the enhanced requirements.
We have the knowledge and experience to deliver an excellent range of quality antennas for the TETRA UHF frequency band; including omnidirectional colinears offered with a range of electrical downtilt, then omni and semi directional 4 stack dipole antennas and panel antennas with beamwidths ranging from 40º to 120º. This is in addition, of course, to a full range of Yagi and dipole types for this band.
